Carbohydrate Separation Using the Core-Shell Ion-Exchange Resin St-80 with Different Numbers of Methylene Groups in the Porous Shell and a Constant Cross-Linking Degree

Shun-ichi Mitomo*, Nao Kodama, Yutaka Inoue

International Journal of Pharmacy and Chemistry, Volume 11, Issue 1, February 2025
    Pages: 1-10
    DOI: 10.11648/j.ijpc.20251101.11
    Published: 17 January 2025
Abstract: Clarifying the relationship between the molecular structure of ion-exchange resins and the elution of carbohydrates is essential for analyses using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). From the perspective of novel resin development, we evaluated the effect of the number of methylene groups in the functional chain of the porous polymer shell on carbohydrate separation. Core-shell ion-exchange resins with a monomer weight ratio of 20:80 (denoted as St-80) were synthesized with a constant cross-linking degr... Show More

    DOI: 10.11648/j.ajhr.20251301.11
    Published: 17 January 2025
Abstract: The number of gout patients of Japanese people increased 5.12-fold from 1986 to 2022 (1986: 0.255 million; 2022: 1.306 million). The aim of this article is to suggest what micronutrient intake is important for the prevention of gout in Japanese people in 2022 referencing the results of clinical research reported. The author used the data of the Comprehensive Survey of Living Conditions in Japan for the number of gout patients (1986-2022) and the data of the National Health and Nutrition Survey in Japan (1946-2022) ... DOI: 10.11648/j.eeb.20251001.11
    Published: 9 January 2025
Abstract: Data comprising the location, size, and frequency of occurrence of 1,300 bottomland riparian trees along a 4,300 ft (1,311 m) stretch of Denton Creek in Grapevine, Texas, was captured. Twenty-five separate species were determined from fourteen different families whose diameter at breast height (DBH) was three inches (7.62 cm) or greater. Elms were the most frequently occurring trees, with Hackberry and American Elm the predominant species. Most occurrences of trees were between 3-12 inches (7.62-30.48 cm) DBH. Bril... Show More
