About This Special Issue
It is obvious that the Ethiopian economy is an agrarian based and many of the country’s population income generating is from agriculture. Agribusiness in our case is in its infancy stage as compared with production and therefore it would not be investigated well if we tried to do so. So, conducting research in this area would bring a paramount change in living standards and high income generating in the rural as well as urban population of the country. Therefore, this could be assured when the agribusiness sector is well developed in each agricultural commodity.
Moreover, the first special issue will be focused on Agribusiness & value chain management in general and Agriculture and Value chain and market chain as well as Agriculture technology adoption in particular. The special issue concentrates on value chain analysis, market chain analysis, agriculture technology adoption, entrepreneurship development, utilization of credit in agriculture, in agribusiness area and other related as well as relevant researchable topics. As we know that value chain is the new emerging concept now a days and in deed paramount to conduct research in any agricultural commodities in most particular. The concept is deals with what value added for every commodity at each stages of the value chain and does the product produce in line with the interest of the consumers or customers. Hence, the special issue (research interest) will be concentrated from the input suppliers in order to increase product as well as productivities of any specific commodities in line with identifying the major constraints of such commodities and to the final consumers or customers by considering the fair benefits of all actors in the value chain or market chain, in line with special analysis does the benefit fair, or whether all high margin is existed in the value chain actors or not along the value chain. Hence, the research interest will be focused from the inception to consumption of the any agricultural commodities. Note that the research topics are not limited to the above-mentioned researchable titles.
