Polymer-Based Composite Materials for Energy Generation Application

Submission deadline: Jul. 02, 2024
Status: Open for Submission
Polymer based advanced functional composites for optoelectronic and energy applications in different areas of energy, from generation to storage and explains how polymer-based smart composites and nanocomposites can be prepared and utilized for novel optical, sensor and energy-related applications. The field of energy generation is expanding to power various devices, including electric vehicles, with energy derived from their surrounding environments. The lightness and flexibility of polymers allied with filler properties can result in an improvement in material processability and in the emergence of new properties and functionalities; The unique mechanical and electrical qualities of composite materials make them ideal for energy harvesting applications, and they have shown tremendous promise in this area. This Special Issue devoted to the recent progress in this multidisciplinary area of polymer composites for energy applications. From their production and design to their characterization and applications, along with a deep understanding of their physical performance, original contributions and reviews are welcomes. As a bonus, it delves into using composites in piezoelectric, electromagnetic, and thermoelectric energy harvesters. Energy harvesting devices could be more effective and reliable if composite materials were cheaper and less prone to damage. Further study is also required to determine the durability and dependability of composite materials for use in energy harvesting which will thoroughly evaluate the latest advances and trends in this field.

Key Features:

  1. Covers a wide range of research on polymer based nanocomposites
  2. Research in the field of material science, polymer science and nanotechnology from industry, academia, government and private research institutions across the globe
  3. An applications-oriented approach, enabling the reader to understand state-of-the-art optical, sensor and energy applications
We welcome researchers from various discipline to provide interdisciplinary perspectives on Polymer-Based Composite Materials for Energy Generation Application. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing knowledge in this field.
