Computational Technologies in Concrete Structures

01About This Special Issue

The special issue publishes advances in the development and use of computational methods for the solution of problems in engineering and the sciences. The range of appropriate contributions is wide, and includes papers on establishing appropriate mathematical models and their numerical solution in all areas of concrete. The journal also includes articles that present a substantial review of a field in the topics of the journal.
The aim of the this special issue is to advance the research and practice in civil and structural engineering through the application of computationl methods. The journal will publish original papers and educational articles of general value to the field that will bridge the gap between high-performance construction materials, large scale engineering systems, and advanced computational methods. The scope of the International Journal for Computational, Civil and Structural Engineering includes papers on computer methods in the areas of structural engineering; civil engineering materials, including composites, concrete, steel, wood, aluminum, and asphalt; and problems concerned with multiple media, such as soil-structure and fluid-structure interaction problems. The journal is intended to be of interest and use to researchers and practitioners in academic, governmental, and industrial communities.
The journal publishes full-length papers, which normally will be less than 20 journal pages in length, and short communications, which can be at most 6 journal pages.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Plasticity
  2. Fracture mechanics
  3. Creep
  4. Fiber reinforced concrete
  5. Performance under extreme conditions
  6. Concrete mix design
  7. High performance concrete
  8. Modeling of concrete structures
  9. Fracture of concrete
  10. Durability of concrete structures
